USA TODAY’S HEA: Interview with Randi Cooley Wilson
A huge thank you to Joyce Lamb and USA Today’s Happily Ever After for having me to celebrate the release of Vernal! You can check out all of the goodness here and see what my hair looked like in the 90’s! It. Was. Epic.
Joyce: Welcome to HEA, Randi! Please tell us a bit about your new release, Vernal.
Randi: Vernal is the first book to release within the Royal Protector Academy Trilogy. The paranormal romance series is a spin-off of the bestselling Revelation Series and can be read as a stand-alone or after the Revelation Series. At its core, Vernal follows Tristan Gallagher and Serena St. Michael’s epic love story, while exploring their desires to step out of the shadows of their parents. It’s about the sacrifices we make and the masks we wear.
Joyce: What inspires your book ideas?
Randi: I grew up reading books about imaginary worlds, which fed my creative side. It’s hard to say where my inspiration will come from. I tend to write books that I’d personally want to read. Stories and/or topics that I feel have yet to be fully explored. Inspiration hits me in different ways at different times, for instance, while I am at Trader Joe’s reaching for hummus. LOL.
